About Me
Hello! My name is Leo Silverman and I am a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast and Digital Journalism and a minor in American History.
Throughout my childhood and adolescence, I was always the tall ginger boy who loved three things in life. Basketball, Video Games, and debates with my friends over the two aforementioned topics brought me joy day after day. So naturally after not getting tall enough to be a pro basketball player and not being good enough to go pro in esports, I went into the next closest thing my loud mouth allotted, broadcasting.
Getting to spend four years studying the world of Broadcast Journalism only further fanned my passionate flame. I fell in love not only with the flashy on-air roles of "Play-By-Play Commentator", "Anchor", and "Host" but the process that goes into these mediums of media. From editing endless hours of footage and running a fully-fledged studio soundboard as a producer to the joys of putting hours into show scripts and setting up your own camera shots for news packages, I fully immersed myself in this world, and never want to leave it as I aim to turn it all into a successful career.
